General Questions
Packing services are optional, and supplies like boxes, tape, and padding can be included for an additional fee. If you’re packing yourself, we can provide high-quality materials at competitive prices.
Ask for a written estimate, confirm licensing and insurance, and look for a local company with great reviews and a track record of dependable service. At Pacific Moving Solutions, we pride ourselves on professionalism, punctuality, and customer care.
We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially during weekends or the end of the month when demand is higher. Last-minute moves are possible, but availability may be limited.
Local moving costs vary depending on the size of your move, the number of movers needed, and any add-on services. We offer clear, upfront pricing with no hidden fees—so you’ll know exactly what to expect before moving day. Get a free quote today.
Most professional movers include loading, transportation, and unloading. At Pacific Moving Solutions, we also offer optional packing services, furniture disassembly/reassembly, and labor-only help if you already have a truck.
Look for a company that’s licensed, insured, and experienced with local moves. Read recent customer reviews, check for transparent pricing, and make sure they offer the specific services you need—whether that’s packing, furniture handling, or labor-only assistance.
Protection & Insurance
Yes. All moves come with basic valuation coverage, as required by California law—this covers items at $0.60 per pound, per article. If you’d like additional protection, we recommend purchasing third-party moving insurance for full replacement value. We’re happy to recommend reputable providers upon request.
We strongly recommend that you keep all valuable items—such as jewelry, cash, and important documents—on your person during the move. For liability reasons, Pacific Moving Solutions does not transport these items and cannot be held responsible if they are packed without our knowledge.
Yes, we can move standard household appliances. However, our movers are not licensed plumbers or electricians. If disconnection involves gas, water, or electrical lines, we recommend having those appliances professionally disconnected prior to our arrival. Our team can assist with moving the appliances safely once they’re disconnected.
If something is damaged during your move, please notify us right away. In many cases, our crew will document and report the issue as it happens. If you notice damage after the move, simply send us photos of the item (multiple angles if possible), along with a brief description, and we’ll review your claim promptly. We take accountability seriously and will work with you to repair or replace damaged items where appropriate.
At Pacific Moving Solutions, we take every precaution to ensure nothing is lost or misplaced. If you believe an item is missing, please contact us immediately so we can begin an internal review. While incidents are extremely rare, we’ll work with you to investigate and resolve the issue. For serious concerns, you may also file a report with local law enforcement or the California Public Utilities Commission, which oversees moving companies in California.
Yes. We wrap all upholstered furniture in protective plastic before applying moving blankets. This extra layer helps guard against dirt, moisture, and damage during transport.
